Description: A slim and elegant Victorian baluster claret  jug with a pretty vine decorated finial. The jug has a  good quality engraved body with oval vine decorated cartouche. The jug has a few tiny dents which are only visible on close inspection, but in no way take away from the overall appearance of the piece.  The beautiful profile and exuberant decoration on this jug makes it a unique piece that would enhance any collection. One can only imagine the ambience of the room  that held this jug. Today these unique and magnificent pieces  are collected and prized for their artistic merit. The cartouche has an inscription expressing a token of esteem.
