Description
Description: A truly magnificent late Victorian sterling silver fruit bowl. The entire body is beautifully hand chased with the exception of a blank cartouche on one side. The bowl is profusely embossed with animals, birds and foliate decoration. The rim is everted and chased with sprays of flowers and fruit, the three feet are decorated with barley twists and lion masks. The bowl stands on three shell feet with lion’s head knuckles. The bowl is a really lovely well crafted and unusual piece, in very good condition.
