An antique engraved locket in 9k rolled gold.

This locket has a striking ‘shield’ shape and is great size – sitting very well while wearing. Both sides of this locket are intricately engraved with contrasting patterns, catching the light at every angle. The reverse of the locket is stamped with the antique mark “9ct Back”, for rolled gold. The locket is hinged, has a nice firm closure and is complete with inserts making it suitable to hold two images.

The locket measures approximately 40mm in length including the decorative bail, by 20mm at its widest point, and is in superb condition condition.
