Description: This handsome antique silver cream jug features wonderful chased swag and tail detailing with a bead border around the lip.  It stands on a pedestal foot.

Dimensions: Length 12cm/4.7″  tip of spout to handle. Width 6cm/2.31″  width of base. Height 11cm/4.30″  tip of handle to base.

Inscription: S C B

Makers Mark: The makers mark is partially rubbed, however W is clearly visible.  The rest of hallmark is quite clear.

Origin: London 1774-75

Condition: This piece is in good condition throughout.  On very close inspection a short hairline fracture (approx 1 inch)  can be seen on the underside of the outer rim of the pedestal foot. This however does not take from the overall appearance of the piece.
